AI Usage Policy

1. Introduction
iPerform.live uses artificial intelligence (AI) and automated processing to maintain platform quality, safety, and integrity. This policy explains what AI tools we use, what data is processed, how decisions are made, and what rights you have regarding automated processing. This policy supplements our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
2. AI Services We Use
We currently use the following AI services:
- OpenAI Moderation API: Used for content screening and safety classification
AI-assisted screening is applied to the following types of user-generated content:
- Guest book entries
- Tip messages
- Song request messages
- Poll text responses
3. What Data Is Sent
When content is screened, only the text content of the user submission is sent to AI providers. We do not send personal identifiers such as names, email addresses, payment information, or account details to AI providers.
AI providers receive the minimum data necessary to perform content classification and return a safety assessment.
4. Purpose
AI-assisted processing is used for the following purposes:
- Content Moderation: Detecting hate speech, harassment, threats, sexual content, self-harm content, and spam
- Confidence Scoring: Assigning confidence levels to content classifications to determine whether content should be automatically approved, flagged for human review, or automatically rejected
- Platform Safety: Maintaining a safe and respectful environment for performers and audiences
5. How Decisions Are Made
Content moderation uses a multi-layer pipeline:
- Local Pattern Detection: Basic keyword and pattern matching for known harmful content
- AI-Assisted Classification: Third-party AI models assess content for safety categories and return confidence scores
- Rules-Based Filtering: Combined signals are evaluated against platform-defined thresholds
- Spam Scoring: Device fingerprinting and behavioral signals help identify automated or abusive submissions
Based on the combined signals, content may be automatically approved, flagged for human review, or automatically rejected. The specific thresholds and rules are maintained by platform administrators and may be adjusted over time to improve accuracy.
6. Human Review
Content that is flagged by automated systems is reviewed by platform administrators. Administrators can approve, reject, or modify flagged content.
Users can appeal automated moderation decisions by contacting support at support@iperform.live. Appeals are reviewed by a human administrator.
7. Data Handling by Third Parties
AI service providers process content according to their own privacy and data handling policies. We select providers that commit to not using customer-submitted data for training their AI models.
For details on how our AI providers handle data, please refer to their respective policies. Currently, we use the OpenAI Moderation API, which operates under OpenAI's usage policies and data processing terms.
8. Future AI Features
We may introduce additional AI-powered features in the future. When we do, this policy will be updated to reflect the new capabilities, the data involved, and how decisions are made. Material changes to this policy will be communicated to users through the platform and by updating the “Last updated” date above.
9. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding AI and automated processing on our platform:
- Human Review: You can request that a human administrator review any automated moderation decision
- Appeal: You can contest moderation decisions that you believe were made in error
- Transparency: You can contact support to ask whether a specific decision about your content was made by automated processing
